Anybody Remember

Anybody Remember A&W?

The A&W drive-in on Drake was known for having a fireplace inside. Owner Wade Clark opened the restaurant in 1973 and kept it open until 1997.

During the summer months, A&W would have car shows on Saturday nights. After Clark died in 2015, many car fans shared his obituary and remembered all the cars he would bring to the parking lot.

Charron was a teenager when she stopped there with her father on the way home from a Dolly Parton concert. As they ate, someone pulled up in a car next to them and mooned them.

Times were certainly different then.

Earlier this year, Huntsville residents nominated A&W as one of the restaurants they would love to have back.
