Crafty Mom Makes Popular ‘Make America Kind Again’ Signs

When one California mom wanted to create something to combat the cut-throat nature of this election, she turned to one of the candidate’s slogans: Make America great again. But instead of “great,” Amanda Blanc made signs to sell on Etsy that said “Make America kind again.”

According to the Huffington Post, Blanc has been inundated with orders for the signs. The graphic designer and mother originally thought she would only sell 15 signs. That number quickly jumped to 200 signs before the election. After the election she was swamped with orders for the signs as well as tote bags and tumblers.

“Kindness has to be how we communicate with one another because at the end of the day, we’re Americans first,” Blanc wrote on Facebook. “We’re neighbors, family. We’re friends. We rely on each other for our collective safety and interests.”

The signs sell for $13.50 on Etsy. She also has decals, tumblers and tote bags.
