Being a responsible, functioning adult means you have a lot of balls in the air at any time. You have to eat right, exercise, help others, remember to bring those reusable tote bags into the grocery store, drink enough water, help the community and the list goes on and on. But what if you could double up on some of those tasks?
Friends of Rescue, an animal rescue in Huntsville, is hosting a ZUMBA GOLD master class, so you can shake what God gave you while you help raise money for homeless animals. Win-win, right?
The class will be May 21 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Madison Wellness Center. Michelle Durig, a Friends of Rescue foster mom and ZUMBA GOLD instructor, is hosting the event along with two other instructors. ZUMBA GOLD is the low-impact version of Zumba, Michelle said.
“We have a great playlist planned with musical rhythms from around the world: merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggeaton, dancehall, Bollywood and pop,” Michelle said.
Don’t worry about not keeping up—everyone is just encouraged to do what they can and have a good time. ZUMBA GOLD is designed for people who want a moderate workout. It incorporates the same fun moves as traditional ZUMBA, but with easier choreography and balance, range of motion and coordination, according to the website.
Tickets are $12, and can be purchased online. All proceeds go to Friends of Rescue.
