Drive through Fayetteville, Tennessee, this week and you might notice one neighborhood glowing in the darkness. Residents of Bridlewood, a neighborhood near the state line, will light up their front porches with blue lights to show their support for the police department.
“Our subdivision is going blue for a week for our men and women in blue,” one resident wrote on Facebook. “Tell any law enforcement officer you know to drive through any night this week.”
It’s not the first neighborhood to go blue in support of police. Huntsville police officers were surprised earlier this month when people living in a neighborhood off Clinton Avenue installed blue lights on their porches in a demonstration of support.
If you want to organize a neighborhood show of support, you can purchase your own blue light bulbs here.
