Downtown Boutique Collects Purses For Women In Crisis

One of Huntsville’s high-fashion boutiques is partnering with United Way of Madison County to provide purses and handbags to women who are in crisis or transition. Clachic, one of the first tenants of the Clinton Row Project, is partnering with other organizations and stores to collect 1,000 purses, handbags and clutches.

According to the United Way Facebook page, these purses will go towards helping women who are “recovering from tragic circumstances or getting back on their feet.”

Clachic has been a downtown staple since 2013 when they started selling scarves, handbags and other accessories along with offering classes on how to wear the different items. They will also be hosting a Girls Night Out on April 29 where customers will receive 10 percent off their purchase with a handbag donation.
