Small Cakes, Big Hearts

One local eatery is working hard to take care of first responders, medical professionals and others on the frontlines of the COVID-19 fight. Smallcakes Huntsville is keeping spirits and blood sugar levels up with their newest campaign, Huntsville Thrives Together.

“We are trying to stay open as long as we can, and we really want to help contribute to our community as we work to get through this together,” the bakery wrote on Facebook.

All you have to do is go to their website and order a dozen cakes or cookies from the Huntsville Thrives Together section. Those will be delivered to those who are working the hardest right now.

Prices range from $36 to $42 including delivery.

Suggested recipients include Huntsville Hospital, Star Market Pharmacy, Crestwood Medical Center, HEMSI, fire departments and Huntsville police, but you can nominate any group or person you want.

Since they are working with the healthcare industry, Smallcakes is taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe during the pandemic.

“We are taking every precaution when delivering to anyone working in healthcare right now, which just means these deliveries may be delayed as we work to safely coordinate bringing them your gift of sweet treats and words of encouragement to help cheer them on,” according to the Smallcakes website. “We ensure you that any and all purchases made through this initiative will be delivered to your desired destination as quickly as we can safely arrange.”

Order the cupcakes and cookies online here or call them at 256-382-3797.
