This is exactly the kind of positivity the world needs right now.
Residents of Olten, Switzerland, woke up last week to find it raining chocolate from the skies. Lindt & Sprüngli, a chocolate factory in the town, claimed responsibility for the chocolate storm. Apparently, the factory cooling ventilation malfunctioned, sending cocoa dust into the surrounding area.
Twitter exploded with the news, most of whom were excited that something good was finally happening this year.
“Snowing chocolate, yes please,” one person wrote.
“If only God would give us a sign that 2020 might just be turning a corner…” another person wrote.
Even Lindt got in on the conversation, tweeting “Whoops! We made it snow chocolate dust around our factory in Switzerland. The vents are fixed now, but we have a few ideas for Christmas.”
The company offered to pay for any cleaning that might be needed after the chocolate snow, but so far no one has taken them up on it.
In Alabama, chocolate snow might be a stretch, but maybe we can all hope for some chocolate rain.
